Program

INTERNATIONAL MARKET EXPEDITION

A cornerstone of the accelerator program includes three international modules across the globe, where participants will work closely with local accelerators, utilities, mentors and other resources in order to jump-start their company’s growth.

SILICON VALLEY

29 April  – 6 May, 2017

The Silicon Valley module offers an immersion in the world’s leading clean tech innovation ecosystem, connecting startups to the epicenter of the technology world. You’ll learn from successful case studies of startups and utilities working together. It’s an excellent opportunity to understand utilities and the piloting process. In this first module startups learn to ‘speak’ utility, understand their inner workings and match your solutions with concrete challenges from the utilities.

LISBON

24 June – 30 June, 2017

The second module continues in the culturally rich town of Lisbon, Portugal,  a place known for the Age of Discovery, where history intersects with forward-thinking entrepreneurship. Lisbon is the fastest growing startup city in Europe. Here you’ll learn about the European utility market, engage with a local accelerator, and enjoy Lisbon sights with investors and energy enthusiasts.

DUBLIN

30 June – 1 July, 2017

The European module finishes with a pitch event and dinner in Dublin, Ireland, in front of an audience of European investors. At the end of the European module, startups and utilities collaborate to define the scope of potential pilot projects, commercial transactions and/or investment contracts.

SINGAPORE

18 September – 22 September, 2017

The third module takes you to the island nation of Singapore, just one degree above the equator. For the last leg of our program, this event includes granular utility/startup contract discussions, an overview of Singapore’s startup ecosystem and market, a final pitch event, and an awards ceremony. This final module is focused on contracting pilot projects between the startups and utilities.
